Racing driver, petrol head, car fanatic, classic car enthusiast & restorer. These are just some of the words that can be used to describe Ed Acres. Primarily trained as an Architect, with his passion for business and brand awareness, Ed founded the multi award-winning Acres Group of companies based in Nottingham, UK. Focused on the architecture, construction & media sectors Ed’s attention to detail, dedication, focus and ability to make rational decisions in rapid time and under pressure have been fantastically valuable assets as Ed began his racing career. From a very early age Ed’s true passion in life has been focused around cars and motorsport. In more recent years with the success of the Acres Group it has been possible for him to own some truly fantastic cars and enjoy them alongside many of the UK’s leading car enthusiast clubs. His most recent adventure has been the culmination of a life long dream to get into motorsport beginning back in 2020. Ed is also a huge fan of the silver screen. Film and movies have been a huge part of his life. Therefore, in addition to his ventures into motorsport, Ed’s passion for emotive and powerful branding through video production saw the creation of Online Media Video Productions (OMVP) in 2020. A video production company focused on producing the highest quality online and social media video. OMVP’s most successful venture, is that of Ed’s YouTube Channel ‘Because I Love Cars’ #BILC. Within this channel, you will see content surrounding Ed’s venture into motorsport, his passion for sports & supercars. You can also see a documentation of the restoration of a classic MG BGT which Ed is completing in his free time in homage to his late father who passed away in 2018. Ed’s father was a huge inspiration to Ed sparking his passion for cars and business from an early age.
