Nathen was born in Colon, Panama. When he was 9 years of age, he moved to Saint Louis, Missouri where he grew up playing American Football, wrestling, and track and field. He attended Lincoln University where he received his BS in Computer Information Systems and minored in Military Science. While there, he commissioned as a United States Army Officer. After receiving consecutive high scores on the Army Physical Fitness Test, he decided to train other Soldiers to achieve the same feat. He received his Personal Training Certificate from National Personal training Institute (NPTI). He now lives in Chicago, Illinois.
