The athlete will not get paid at the start of a deal.
As a precaution, OpenSponsorship will hold your money in an Escrow account until the deal is complete.
Once the deal is complete to your satisfaction, the payment will be released to the athlete.
However, if the deal does not execute, a full refund of the agreed amount will be issued to you.
