My name is Robert Poole, I am 203cm tall with size 16 UK shoes and I currently represent England on the International stage in both Indoor and Beach Volleyball, attempting to reach the top of my sport. After securing a professional volleyball contract this year with VC Gotha in the 2. Bundesliga I would like to develop partnerships with companies to allow me to pursue my sport to the highest levels and encourage others to participate and become passionate for sports. I finished up my University Career at the University of Mount Olive in the US in 2018 with the top serving statistics in the US, as well as being in the top 20 players for the number of points scored per set. I also managed to tumble multiple school records to do with serving and was a 4-year starter with the University program which was rewarded with a national team call-up and a professional contract in Germany. Academically I recently graduated with a top GPA in Chemistry with minors in Physics and Biology, aiming to show future generations of athletes that it is possible to juggle academics and athletics at a high standard. The most important part of being an athlete is being a good role model, combining my sporting career with playing an active role in the community. This involved being selected for the University Ambassador role, through community outreach work with the University or simply visiting care homes with the team. I have also maintained the highest level of health by not smoking or drinking, continuing to eat well to take care of my body. I also help coach volleyball whenever I am home voluntarily and am trying to find ways to engage with the volleyball community through channels such as blogging and social media.
