With a passion for sports and empowering young women, Rashan Ali continues to establish herself as a revered multimedia personality within the sports and entertainment industries. An Atlanta native and graduate of Florida A&M University, she gave her candid perspective on local radio for 12 years on HOT 107.9, V-103 and Streetz 94.5. Since, Rashan has immersed herself into television working as a freelance sports anchor for HLN and CNN; sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network, host of Under Armour Highlights of the Week on the NFHS Network and as the co-host of Falcons Rise Up Weekly on the CW Network. Currently, she serves as a co-host on the daily talk show Sister Circle Live on TV One. Rashan also runs the "Cool Soror" podcast, a weekly show that highlights outstanding men and women in Black Greek Lettered Organizations. ​ Her passion and purpose are deeply tied to the community. She is the founder of Sporty Girls, Inc., a non-profit organization that encourages the development of life skills in girls ages 8-18 through participation in golf, tennis, soccer, swimming, and lacrosse. Rashan has also published and released her first children’s book, “Piper Sky’s Pink Popsicle Shoes.” Rashan is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is married to Brian Smith and they have two daughters.
