Β Kerri Strug vaulted into Olympic history with her courageous performance during the 1996 Olympic Games where she landed an unforgettable vault on an injured ankle to help the U.S. clinch its first Olympic gold medal in the team gymnastics competition. Kerri's gut-wrenching performance in Atlanta earned her fame well beyond the gymnastics world--as she was featured on the cover of both Time and People magazine. Kerri's extraordinary success and magnetism led her to become a successful spokesperson for several corporate clients. Nearly 23 years later, she is still traveling around the U.S. giving motivational speeches to Olympic sponsors and corporate America. Kerri 's patriotic spirit led her to work in the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) at the United States Department after graduating from Stanford University. Kerri has been assisting and protecting the nation's high-risk youth for the past fifteen years in her position as a program manager.
