 joan (Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford) have spent the past few years building their musical empire, single by single, tour date by tour date, with the past three years being landmarks for them. Their debut EP, 2019’s ‘portra’, followed by 2020’s ‘cloudy EP’ and the reimagined re-releases of many of those songs into the “partly cloudy EP” that same year led them to the most recent ‘wave era’ which saw new singles of their trademark alt-pop bops, tinged with the sweetest hint of 90’s R&B influences landing on the first Thursday of each month throughout the majority of 2021 alternating into the building of two dueling EP’s individually titled ‘hi’ and ‘bye’ also described collectively as “wave” They are excited to soon announce the anticipated next chapter of release plans. Early 2020 saw them playing to sold out crowds across the US on their first headline tour.
