 Amar'e Stoudemire is a professional basketball player, actor, author, producer, motivational speaker and philanthropist. He was drafted in the 2002 NBA Draft class and it was not long before he was one of the NBA's top players. Amar'e retired from the NBA as a 6x All-Star, 1x All-NBA First Team, 4x All-NBA Second Team, and 2003 Rookie of the Year after battling injuries. After retiring from the NBA in 2016, Amar'e moved to Israel where he continues to play professionally for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Outside of basketball, Amar'e works on several other projects. He loves fashion, co-designing a line with Rachel Roy and becoming a front-row fixture at many fashion events. Stoudemire is also committed to the mission of getting kids into reading through a series of books he wrote called Stat. Amar'e also acts and has starred in several TV shows such as "The Mindy Project" and movies like "McGruber" and "Trainwreck" alongside Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. Additionally, he has served as an executive producer of "Little Ballers" and "Village of Peace," as well as the producer of "Beyond the Lights." Amar'e currently runs the Amar'e and Alexis Stoudemire Foundation, a youth outreach program designed to creatively inspire and help at-risk youth to succeed with the goal of eradicating poverty through education.
