Charles Omenihu was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Dallas, Texas. Charles was a standout football player in high school and was recognized as one of the best defensive lineman in the state. Charles was a two time all district honoree, and was selected as a 2015 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl participant. He decided to stay in Texas, where he took his talents to the University of Texas. Charles thrived at UT and was a four-year defensive end who played in 51 career games totaling 33 starts, 99 tackles (68 solo), 29.5 tackles for loss and 17 sacks. Charles declared for the NFL Draft in 2019 and was drafted by the Houston Texans to play alongside JJ Watt. Charles had a fantastic first season and was graded as one of the top rookie defensive lineman.
