Referral Program Terms

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern the OpenSponsorship Referral Program ("Program"). By submitting a referral, you agree to them. We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted here is the one that applies.

1. Who can refer

Anyone can participate, except current OpenSponsorship employees and contractors acting in the course of their role. You must provide accurate contact details so we can credit you and arrange any reward.

2. How a referral is credited

You are credited as the referrer when you submit the referral form on this site, or send an introduction to referrals@opensponsorship.com. We record the referral against you in our CRM at that moment.

  • If the same brand is referred by more than one person, credit goes to the first valid referral we receive.
  • A brand that is already an active client, or already in our sales pipeline, is not eligible to be referred.
  • You may not refer a brand you own, control, or are employed by.

3. What counts as a qualifying referral

A referral qualifies for a reward when the referred brand:

  • was not already a client or active prospect at the time of your referral, and
  • signs on with OpenSponsorship and runs a paid campaign.

We'll let you know if a brand you refer is already in progress, so you're never left guessing.

4. The reward

For each qualifying referral, you earn $1,000 (USD). There is no cap on the number of brands you can refer or rewards you can earn. The referred brand receives $500 toward their first campaign with us.

5. When and how you're paid

Your reward is issued after the referred brand has signed and run their first paid campaign. Once that happens, we'll reach out to confirm your details and arrange payment in whatever way is easiest for you. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your reward.

6. Brand experience

Every referred brand is handled by a dedicated OpenSponsorship team — matching, outreach, contracts, content and reporting. Your reputation matters to us as much as it does to you.

7. Changes and good faith

We may modify, pause, or end the Program at any time, and we may decline referrals that are incomplete, duplicated, or made in bad faith. Where there is any question of interpretation, OpenSponsorship's reasonable determination applies.

8. Contact

These terms are a plain-language summary of how the Program works. They are not a contract of employment or agency, and they don't change any separate agreement you may have with OpenSponsorship.
